På vores Fashion Agora kan du se tøj fra en række designere med fokus på upcycling og genanvendelse, du kan høre mere om deres produkter og støtte deres arbejde. Du kan høre talks og debatter om fremtidens mode, opleve kunstinstallationer på pladsen og prøve kræfter med bæredygtige workshops. 

Dagene byder blandt andet på dekonstrueret catwalk, hvor vi inddrager elementer fra teaterverdenen og inviterer publikum ind i et rum, hvor det alternative i Alternative Fashion Week får frit spil. 

Årets tema er friktion, som udtrykker en verden i disharmoni, spejlet gennem bæredygtig og provokerende mode. Konflikt og krise former æstetikken, som skabes i en kulturel kampplads, hvor nytænkende genbrug opstår i spændingsfeltet. Oplev modstandens glamour og nyd skønheden i det skæve og skurede.

AFWs vision er at promovere en alternativ fremtid for modeindustrien, der har en langt højere grad af respekt og ansvar over for mennesker og natur. Vi ønsker at skabe et rum, hvor vi kan lære og dele hverdagens bæredygtige alternativer – både socialt og klimamæssigt.

Alternative Fashion once again invites you to a festival about sustainable fashion, recycling, and upcycling. 
Mark your calendars for August 9th and 10th, when we will open our doors for the Alternative Fashion Week CPH 2024 at Kulturhuset Indre By.

At our Fashion Agora you can see clothing from a range of designers focused on upcycling and reuse, learn more about their products, and support their work. You can listen to talks and debates about the future of fashion, experience art installations on site, and try your hand at sustainable workshops. 

‘The days will feature a deconstructed catwalk, incorporating elements from the world of theatre and inviting the audience into a space where the alternative in Alternative Fashion Week can flourish freely.

This year's theme is friction, expressing a world in disharmony, mirrored through sustainable and provocative fashion. Conflict and crisis shape the aesthetics, created in a cultural battleground where innovative recycling emerges in a field of tension. Experience the glamour of resistance and enjoy the beauty in the quirky and the rough.
